SPINNING THE SIXTIES

SPINNING THE SIXTIES
The music of the 1960s is very special to Willie McIntyre.
It is cherished by all those who grew up in that decade, but it as
widely admired by all generations and lending an ear to Spinning
the Sixties will certainly show you why this is so. The Beatles and
Elvis Presley make regular appearances, of course, but just about every
act from the sixties will pop up on this nostalgic and magical show. Just
for fun, a quiz is always included for listeners to probe their pop
music knowledge, along with lots of pop trivia.

REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL
Willie McIntyre loves comedy. Excerpts from all sorts of
comedy shows are presented by him in his Reasons to be Cheerful
programme. These range from the Two Ronnies and Fawlty Towers to Groucho Marx
and Laurel and Hardy, with dozens more favourite acts in the mix. There
is also plenty of room for musical selections which make Willie feel
cheerful and we are sure the concoction will similarly lift
listeners’ spirits.
